Watch out heavy metallers!
Review of Lamb of God's Resolution by Jamie:
Guess what metal fans? Lamb of God are back with another album brimming with tracks that'll have you begging for more! The album was released Tuesday January 24th and is fantastic with vocalist Randy Blythe at his very best.
With the drums mixed with Randy's death metal shouts you'll be singing along with him too (well trying to). The album is not a concept album but it is a fantastic release. With ghost walking being the first single to be released from the album it starts off with an acoustic feel before the distortion pedals of the electric guitars and the jack hammer tidal waves of drums kick in and then Randy does his thing.
Review of Cradle Of Filth's Darkly Darkly Venus Averser
The metallers are back with - you guessed it - a concept album
Darkly Darkly Venus Aversa.
The album follows a mythological demon called Lilith voiced by keyboardist Ashley Eyllon. The first song The Cult Of Venus Aversa introduces you to the creature and her devious ways of enslavement.
The rest of the album takes you down a path where you get to meet
the big man himself: Satan.
With Dani's odd vocals and that girl scream, this album has a song
for everyone such as Lilith Immaculate.
The album just won't disappoint, with the orchestral sound, the album sounds very atmospheric. Cradle of Filths drummer Martin Skaroupker adds a nice touch to an already dark horror story. My favourite track from the album is Beyond eleventh hour.
I would rate this album 10 out of 10 as it is a lot better than
its 2008 predecessor Godspeed on the Devils Thunder.
