My experience as an Apprentice

Ashley, from Hatfield, tells us about working on a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship with Child UK

I firmly believe that the Apprenticeship has given me a great boost in confidence and was huge stepping stone for me both personally and professionally. I really did not know what to expect but was excited to get going.

I found the Apprenticeship a bumpy road to start off with but believe that I came out on top in the end. I found it difficult to juggle my priorities but as time went on, I really learnt how to deal with this problem and have found a solution.

It helped me with my own personal skills and has helped me develop them in ways I would not have been able to do by myself. Professionally, it has opened up so many doors that I did not know were possible before I started the Apprenticeship.

I honestly believe that the Apprenticeship has put me on the right path - the path I want to be - and has given me the confidence to try avenues that I may not have had the confidence to try if it was not for the course. In April, I am going toBoliviato work for three months on a volunteering scheme, which is a huge step and one that I am very eager to complete. The Apprenticeship gave me the confidence to plan for the next step in my own personal development.
