Hertford's Late Skate
Over 50 young people in Hertford took part in a 'Late Skate' event on Saturday 12th November.

The event featured scooter, skateboard and BMX competitions
under temporary floodlights at Hartham Common Skate Park.
Taking place from 6-8pm, the event also offered free food and activities on the 'Wheels' Mobile Community Bus. Young people acted as judges for the competition and prizes were donated from a local skate shop.
"It was good thing to do to chill out on a Saturday night 'said Mason, aged 15 pictured below, who was one of the competition judges. "We normally can't skate in the dark as there are no lights, so to get a few more hours in the bowl was good."
The skate park is not normally lit and young people will be hoping that the success of the event will allow them to organise similar events in the future.
