Creative writing in Stevenage

Young people in Stevenage have been taking part in creative/ lyric writing sessions at Marymead Youth Project in Stevenage

Here are some short poems that have been submitted by the group.

Spaghetti, by Tai

I'm slithery and long a bit like a worm,

I'm tasty and yellow but I won't make you squirm,

I'm edible not alive, I don't have any eyes

I can describe myself this way so you'll know what to say…

A door, by Shireen

I sit in the creepy door,

With no-one to adore,

I fly myself to see my self,

That's why I'm a door.

If you are interested in creative or lyric writing, this project will be run at Bowes Lyon Youth Centre in October half term, email your interest: tracy.lee@hertscc.gov.uk
