Being N-Dubz review
Amber reviews the N-Dubz documentary
Like understanding Jedward or wearing a wrist watch, appreciation of N-Dubz is one of those things that doesn't travel between generations. This documentary is for young people following the band on their exciting lifestyle of being N-Dubz.
Just ask the teenage teary eyed girls and the miniature lads dressed like Dappy, waiting anxiously to see their role models appear on TV for a whole hour. Showing what the artists get up to in there everyday life, the ups and downs, the tears and tantrums and the amazing performances from their tours, the documentary was so exclusive. We saw the backstage life and an insight into what really goes on behind closed doors at theN-Dubzcrib.
Love them or hate them, the band themselves are pretty interesting. As demonstrated by the decision to film the band's main interview next to a train bridge, they are gritty and urban and a working class music group with a modern twist. It shows from research all age groups are enjoying the 'NA NA NAI' lyrics and bopping their heads to the radio.
Dappy provides his usual nice guy antics, undermined only by a run-in at a celebrity football match. But it's Tulisa who comes out most interesting in the show, strolling up hours late to the football match before necking a drink and declaring her team includes 'the Hollyoaks bird, but I've forgotten her name'. Unfortunately their voices are drowned out by some shoddy documentary making. The band have cameras strapped to their heads, resulting in wobbly footage of them cleaning their teeth and catching Tulisa on the toilet. It was rather funny because the voice over guy was so irritating and I was shouting at the TV 'LET THE GUYS SPEAK'
I personally likeN-Dubz and some of their song lyrics. I can also relate to them in certain situations that appear during the TV series. I will be on the look out for the next episodes which I know will be entertaining and packed full of surprises. Once again thanks for reading my review and hopefully encouraged you to read future reviews and watch out for the next hottest stars on the panel of reviews.
