Help to stop online bullies

"Cyber bullying is when someone uses technology like the internet or mobile phone to deliberately hurt or upset someone else. This is a form of bullying and you shouldn’t have to put up with it."

  • Think before you post - it can be easy to get involved in online bullying without you realising. Avoid joining hurtful campaign groups or commenting on posts that is going to hurt or upset someone. Once something is posted online it's very hard to stop it going viral.
  • Protect yourself from bullies - what is on your profile that other people can see? Find out more here.
  • Don’t participate in forwarding pictures, messages or insults about a person. You may think it is a joke, but you could be really upsetting the person involved and even committing a crime.
  • If you are being cyber bullied, find out how to stop it here.
