Recycling at West Hyde
Young people at West Hyde Youth Project make their own clock
The young people at the project were discussing why the UK clocks have to be put forward and backwards twice a year. After they came to the conclusion that they wanted UK time be line with the rest of Europe, they decided to make their own clock.
Using recycled materials such as computer parts, printer parts, discs, wires and leads, they put together the West Hyde Clock to be in line with the rest of Europe. Take a look at their pictures and the hands really do move:

See what some of the group had to say:
Daisy, "I loved taking everything to bits but some parts could not be used but the clock is brilliant."
Lucy, "I really enjoyed taking an old computer to bits and getting all the wires out to use on our clock."
Chelsea, "I enjoyed making the numbers using the wires and leads."
Jordan and Josh, "It was quite tricky to put all the numbers on and sticking them down to make our clock face."
