Get the new ‘app’ on Facebook

“Protect yourself, protect your mates, make it easy”

  • Do you sometimes struggle to find answers to things that worry you online?
  • Had bad wall posts from people you don’t know?
  • Had a chat conversation that went sour?
  • Seen something written about you that isn’t true, or worse?
  • Has your account ever been hacked, even just as a joke?

Don’t let it happen again. The ClickCEOP app is for you

CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) the people behind making children and young people safe online, have launched a new app on Facebook. They want every young person who has a Facebook account to click on their app – this is why...

The free application in Facebook is designed to keep young people safe while you are having fun networking online. The app links the user directly from their Facebook profile to help, advice and report facilities. By adding the app, you and your friends can get support from CEOP on a range of issues – viruses, hacking, dealing with bullying online and you can report someone who is acting inappropriately towards you online. The application comes in three parts:

  • Protect yourself: The ClickCEOP tab will help you stay in control. It will guide you through easy steps to stay safer online. Add the tab today and it will be there on your profile whenever you need it.
  • Protect your mates: Real friends watch out for each other. Do it online. Send your friends a badge and tell them about the ClickCEOP app.
  • Make it easy: Don’t forget to bookmark the ClickCEOP app so you can access it on your Facebook homepage. This gives you another way to access their latest help and advice.

If you have a Facebook profile, app and bookmark the application. Your chance to be one click away from help – if you should ever need it.
