What affects LMI?
The world of employment and industry is influenced by a number of things, such as, global events and disasters, terrorism, the local and global economy, government policies, and technological developments. So although we may predict growths and declines in employment areas/industries, any predictions are subject to change. The 2009 recession has affected many industries although it started in the financial sector many predictions prior to 2009 may not include the global economic downturn. During a recession fewer people choose to change or leave their jobs so there will be fewer job openings.
