Tim Minchin and the Heritage Orchestra

Concert review by Robert

Arriving at the prestigious venue there is anticipation in the air. The sun was shining on the hundreds of people waiting outside with most wearing some sort of Tim Minchin merchandise.

The show had an excellent start with some great imagery with who we thought was Tim in a cage. A short blackout revealed Tim to be playing on his piano to the amazement of the audience. Tim progressed through the first half of the show with the Heritage orchestra being fantastic and Tim on top-form whilst trying out new songs such as Thank You God and The Fence. A short intermission followed which allowed the audience to discuss the Royal Wedding which had only finished a few hours ago.

The second half was just as good as the first. Tim re-appeared on stage with a new outfit and more eyeliner. The second half was equally as funny as the first with classics such as Prejudice and Dark Side. The show ended with two encores and three well deserved standing ovations. The show was amazing and I would give it 5 out of 5.
