Madagascar Escape 2 Africa review

Madagascar Escape 2 Africa is about an unusual mix of four animals who are well known in a zoo in New York. They are a Lion called Alex (voice by Ben Stiller), a Zebra called Marty (voice by Chris Rock), a Giraffe called Melman (voice by David Schwimmer) and a Hippo called Gloria (voice by Jada Pinkett Smith).
These animals build a plane planning to return back to New York but have an unexpected crash and land in Africa! On their arrival, they all split up as they each befriend groups of their own kind. Gloria the Hippo is in the mood for some love, Melmin believes he is seriously ill and decides to share an unexpected secret, Marty the Zebra has more in common with other zebras than he thinks and Alex is reunited with his family but is soon forced to leave by a jealous pack member.
This film is packed with humour and will have you laughing from beginning to end! It doesn’t only focus on the New York Zoo members, it also includes some smooth mafia penguins and a crazy violent granny!
I watched this film with my two younger sisters, my mum and step dad and we were all laughing and our age range goes from 7 to 37. This shows that it appeals to all age groups. Although the characters were not as close and tight knit as the first film and they seemed a bit distant, they all come together for a happy ending.
I would recommend this film if you fancy a good laugh, and it is out on DVD now! Go buy it!
