West Hyde fundraiser

Written by Adam, Ashley, William, Lucy, Jordan, Josh, Josh, Harry, Melissa and Tyler

After such a great cycling performance from us all at the West Hyde Project near Rickmansworth, we decided to hold some car boot sales to raise further funds so that we can have a really good time away on our residential trip to Snowdonia.

So after sore legs from cycling we turned our hand to selling unwanted items at a car boot sale. We were given free entry to park so everything sold was 100% profit. Our stock was donated to us by other young people and parents – there was everything from clothes to toys, books and even a T.V. and stand.

We all enjoyed trying to make the best deal possible, but getting up at 6.45 a.m. every other Sunday during May and June was really hard to do! The experience of being behind the stall and selling was certainly challenging and also having to compete with other stall holders was not easy but we have completed four car boots sales and have done really well raising another £200 towards our residential week away.

Bye for now!
