Vickie's charity campaign

My 'Give to Ghana' Campaign

Hi, my name is Vickie and I live in West Herts and I need your help for my charity campaign.

Last year I went to Ghana where I met some children who were constantly begging for equipment such as pens, pencils and calculators. When I got home I had the idea to set up a campaign to try and help them.

My campaign is to get local and national businesses to donate stationery they either haven’t used in the last month, or they don’t want or need anymore. I'm hoping to send out regular amounts of equipment every month as well as go back in January to distribute everything.

This project will benefit the lives of so many young people in Ghana by simply donating a couple of pens and other things. By doing this, I believe their education will improve as they can write down what they are learning instead of trying to remember everything they have learnt.

“Their education is suffering because of the lack of equipment and I decided then that I had to make a difference!”

I need your help!

As well as local businesses, I am also encouraging young people to donate what they can from school/college, so if you are reading this, please ask your school or college to donate.

Going national

I have taken this campaign to Channel 4's 'Battlefront' website to raise awareness about my campaign. I will be providing more information on where and how to donate equipment. Have a look at my Battlefront campaign, here.
