Twilight review

Romantic, racy and riveting, the ‘Twilight’ Saga has triggered a national obsession with vampires, werewolves and elements of the supernatural. The latest film, ‘New Moon’, is not a disappointment.
Whether you are ‘Team Edward’ or ‘Team Jacob’ your desires will be satisfied by one-hundred-and-thirty-one minutes of rippling muscles! But this film is more than just ‘good looking’, a serious, heart-rending plot twists and turns throughout. The ‘Twilight’ heroine, Bella, is left distraught after the unexpected departure of her soul mate, Edward. Sinking into the depths of loneliness and depression, we watch the seasons pass. Bella is waiting. The leaves drop, the snow falls, the flowers emerge, the sun becomes brighter and still Bella is waiting. Edward does not come.
Soon Bella finds that her spirits can be lifted by another; the werewolf, Jacob Black. Little does she know, his kind are old enemies of the vampires. Drawn into a world of change, heart-ache and danger, Bella finds her loyalties are pushed to the limit.
‘New Moon’ is not just a film for all fanatical followers of ‘The Twilight Saga’. There are moments of heart-pounding tension, irresistible romance and hints of disastrous consequences. The only frustration I have about this film is the fact we’ll have to wait months for the follow up. What a hardship, I’ll just have to buy the DVD.
