Our Snowdonia trip success
Written by Adam, Ashley and Reece from West Hyde Youth Project
After months of fund raising starting in March this year, with our sponsored cycle ride and monthly car boot sales, we all raised nearly £2,000 towards the cost of our week away in Snowdonia doing Outdoor Education activities. We went to Snowdonia at the beginning of August and what a great time we all had!

Some of the activities, like climbing Mount Yr Aran took over six hours and was really challenging but what a sense of achievement we all got from it. We did lots of walking, swimming through water falls and along the current. We flew kites on the beach, had cycle rides, and we also had a day of high ropes and free falling as well as pony trekking - all of which were brilliant.
Everyone helped with the cooking, washing up and keeping the place tidy. John Weinstock and Myk Devenish were great outdoor tutors and I think we all gained something from the experience for a lifetime which we will not forget.
