New music this month
Danielle, 17, updates us with what's hot in the music world.
October has been a big month in the music industry as various artists have had new releases that have shown to be successful. Whitney Houston is one of the most famous artists to make a comeback to the charts with 'Million Dollar Bill', she is soon to embark on a British tour.
Number one at the moment is Chipmunk with 'Oopsy Daisy' which has proved to be a big hit as a number of radio stations have been playing it.
In my opinion, Shakira was once sweet and innocent when it came to performing, but she has changed for the worst. This is because she is now unleashing a raunchy side to her video which is unexpected of her.
I think this October’s new releases have proven to be a good mixture of songs with a variety of genres. We have dance with David Guetta - who has recently collaborated with Akon to remix a club like anthem called 'Sexy Chick' which I have found to be popular amongst my friends. Pitbull, after 'I Know You Want Me', has made another catchy tune called 'Hotel Room Service' which is yet another song to get you dancing. Finally, Black Eyed Peas who have returned with a new dance song called 'I Gotta Feeling'.
On the other hand, a more R’n’B vibe are JLS, X-factor super stars. They have made a second single 'Everybody in Love' since the show ended last year. This shows how well JLS have progressed in this period. Also in the R'n'B genre is Taio Cruz. Even though we hadn’t heard anything from Taio in a while, he has made a dramatic return with 'Break your Heart'.
If you like rap, then Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk may be for you.
An unexpected release by Cheryl Cole has got everyone judging her this time, with her new song' Fight for this Love'. Alexandra Burke has progressed from ‘Hallelujah’ to 'Bad Boys' which was a bit of a shocker! Personally, my favourite songs are both by Cheryl Cole and Alexandra Burke.
I’ll be looking out for any changes in the chart or new releases and so should you! Update us with your favourite tracks below.
