Megamind film review

By Jack

So, with all of the snow on the news and the compulsory Christmas carol re-releases, I thought I'd do something completely snow-free.

With a quick trip to the cinema with my fellow Pro-Action students it was a last minute decision on what film to go and watch, and for whatever reason Megamind was the obvious choice.

It's a light hearted film about an alien trying to kill off the local superhero and become the number one villain of the city, who then quickly becomes bored and lonely once he succeeds. Then things get turned upside-down when a kind, good hearted girl comes along.

With a semi-original storyline and some quirky characters you are quickly sucked into the film. With some good lines and some cheap laughs along the way, it quickly hits a lull in the movie and you find yourself checking out the wallpaper in the cinema, and then you get engaged in the film again.

It has a few good laughs, and a great feel to the film, but it's only worth the watch once. So, if you're taking the kids or fancy an easy watch then go check out Megamind, but I think I can wait until it's aired on TV to watch it again!
