About us - what is channelmogo?

Channelmogo is a website for all young people in Hertfordshire aged 11-19 (and up to 25 if disabled). The site is managed by people in Herts who are here to help young people in all sorts of ways.

How does this work?

The website brings together many different services who all work together to support young people. Whether you are looking for a job, things to do; places to go, need some advice or want to find information about local services such as travel, channelmogo has everything for you. The site is different from other websites because it is a portal. This means that not only it is packed full of local information, and it also signposts you to lots of other useful websites too. One way to describe it is that it's the one place online where you can go to find all the information you need as a young person in Hertfordshire.

Why else is the website different?

We believe that every young person has a right to have their say and improve services around them. Where possible, you have the chance to have your input into both the website and local services. You can do this by commenting on things, sending us your thoughts, your reviews, videos, music and chatting to us directly through email, facebook and Twitter. We also show you how you can get involved in local groups and projects in your area to make a difference.

Did you know? If you are aged 16-19, you can also get the latest job vacancies from Youth Connexions by registering to their employment service and following 'Hertsjobs16to19' on twitter, find out more here.

What about the fun stuff?

We think it's important that you enjoy channelmogo! As well as the music, reviews and video channel, there are also lots of competitions you can enter - keep your eyes peeled for new competitions with great prizes plus under 19s gig ticket giveaways. You told us you wanted to play games, so we've created a DJ mixing game for you. You also said you wanted to have a searchable site to find stuff to do in Herts so we created one with your help - you created a character called Mo so people could find out where 'Mo goes'. Find loads to do at mogozout.
